
Bart St. Clair
Executive Consultant
Bart St. Clair has been a principal consultant with Symmetra since 2019, after a ten year relationship with Symmetra as a client. St Clair joined after a 18 year career at Goldman Sachs, where he was Global Head of Firmwide Learning and Learning Design, with responsibility for leadership and management, diversity and inclusion, professional skills, and culture and orientation training and strategy. In this role, St. Clair was focused on creating and executing programs that develop the company’s talent pipeline, build manager excellence, leverage diversity to create a work environment that fosters inclusion and innovation, increase employee productivity and engagement, and ultimately drive shareholder value. St. Clair drove cultural change through learning initiatives focused on manager excellence, structured interviewing, informal feedback, diverse pipeline development, and unconscious bias. He frequently served as a leadership skills coach for hi-potential individuals. Bart oversaw Goldman’s Digital Learning Center of Excellence, driving adoption of innovative tools for accessing, creating and distributing learning through digital means.
St. Clair was a leader in the firm’s diversity networks (ERGs), co-chairing the People Development Committee for Goldman’s Human Capital Management division, and serving for five years on the firm’s LGBT Network Steering Committee.
Mr. St. Clair is a graduate of Harvard University and serves on the Alumni Board of the Baltimore High School for the Arts.
