Jan is an Executive Consultant, operational leader and psychologist with over 20 years’ experience in the field.

He brings a rare blend of psychological credentials combined with “hands-on” business and people management experience to the Symmetra team that informs a strong understanding of the key to self actualization, well-being, life satisfaction and high performance of a broad range of diverse individuals.

He has extensive experience in career development, leadership and management, learning and development and executive coaching. He has managed both individual and group programs for not-for-profit organisations as well as high profile Fortune 500 and ASX 200 national and international organisations.

In addition to his wealth of experience in corporate settings, Jan draws from his track record as a psychologist and his extensive NGO and corporate background. Roles have included board positions, COO, general manager and various positions in operations, sales and consulting. The organisations he has worked for include: Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Pioneer Concrete, Lee Hecht Harrison, DBM Australia, Madston Black, AECOM, Rabobank and Davidson Trahaire Corpsych.

Jan has a passion for assisting diverse leaders to meet their full potential while ensuring linkage between their personal and professional aspirations, values and life goals. His personal commitment to further learning and development within his field ensures that clients have access to leading edge research, information and tools.

He is an active member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and was the chairperson for their Coaching Interest Group (NSW) for 3 years.
