Royal Launceston Show

The public holiday for the Royal Launceston Show is the Thursday before the second Saturday in October and is a holiday for Launceston, Break O’Day, Dorset, George Town, Meander Valley, Northern Midlands and West Tamar. The show runs over the Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Launceston region has a population of around 100,000 and is situated in northern Tasmania where the North and South Esk Rivers join to become the Tamar River. As such, it is a central point for the agricultural region of northern Tasmania and a wonderful place for locals to display and compete in all areas of regional produce.
