World Religion Day

World Religion Day was initiated in 1950 by The National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís (US) to address the need for religious unity. Its aim is to foster interfaith harmony by emphasising those spiritual principles shared by all religions and focusing on future goals of reconciliation.

On this day, followers of various faiths all over the world reflect on similarities rather than differences and cultivate the notion of a unified mankind acting as fellow global citizens, irrespective of religious beliefs.
