Heather collaborating with the Recruitment Industry to Counteract Unconscious Bias


On 27 July Heather Price, CEO of Symmetra, presented on Counteracting Unconscious bias at a breakfast event organised by ProForce to a large range of their clients.

” As recruitment agencies act as the primary filter of talent brought to the table for big corporates, it is most inspiring to assist recruitment companies like ProForce who wish to proactively position themselves to work with their clients to counteract both ethnic and gender bias from impacting on selection decisions. As we can’t wipe out bias but we can deploy a range of de- biasing techniques , the more recruitment agencies and hiring managers build capability in this regard , the closer Australian corporates will come to embedding a true meritocracy.”
