Amanda Lawrie Jones

Amanda is a skilled Disability Inclusion Consultant with decades of organisational capability experience which she brings to the Symmetra team.
Working in both government and non-government sectors her field of expertise focuses on the social model of disability and supports organisations to improve outcomes and increase participation for people with disability.

She provides functional expertise and valuable lived experience from the perspectives of people with disability to shift mindsets and promote access and inclusion within your organisation. 
Amanda has successfully created impact and meaningful change for people with disability by developing access and inclusion plans, employment strategies, policies and processes to remove barriers to support and embed access and inclusion. 

Her leadership is demonstrated by her commitment to the disability community by participating on several Boards and Committees and in 2018, Amanda was a Finalist in the Australian National Awards for Disability Leadership in the category of ‘Change Making’. Amanda has also been recently appointed to the Victorian Disability Advisory Council for a 3-year term reporting to the Hon. Minister for Disability Luke Donnellan.
