Bart St. Clair

Bart brings extensive blue-chip in-house corporate expertise to the Symmetra team generated by his nearly 20 years of experience as a senior learning and talent professional at Goldman Sachs.

Bart was Global Head of Firmwide Learning and Learning Design at Goldman Sachs, with responsibility for leadership and management, diversity and inclusion, professional skills, and culture and orientation training and strategy.

In this role, Bart focused on creating and executing programs that developed the Goldman Sachs talent pipeline, built manager excellence, leveraged diversity to create a work environment that fosters inclusion and innovation, increased employee productivity and engagement, and ultimately drove shareholder value.

Of note, Bart was also responsible for driving cultural change through learning initiatives focused on manager excellence, structured interviewing, informal feedback, diverse pipeline development, and unconscious bias. As an outstanding presenter and coach Bart was called on frequently to serve as an internal leadership skills coach for high-potential talent at Goldman Sachs.

In addition, Bart oversaw Goldman’s Digital Learning Center of Excellence, driving the adoption of innovative tools for accessing, creating, and distributing learning through digital means. Bart’s experience across Goldman Sachs globally, at the nexus of learning, talent, leadership, inclusion, culture change, and digital learning, positions him to bring an astute strategic perspective to the design of the end-to-end D & I solutions.
