Monica Dyer is a gender equality, diversity and inclusion Consultant with over 10 years of experience providing support to numerous organizations to develop and implement policies, strategies, programs and tools that seek to accelerate the creation of a more inclusive, diverse and engaging workplace. While working at UN Women (2012-2019) she worked on the development and implementation of the United Nations System-wide Action Plan on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, an accountability framework to propel progress towards the achievement of gender-related mandates across the UN system. In this role, Monica provided strategic guidance to the 35+ UN system Entities with their efforts to incorporate gender dimensions into all programmes, policies, and functions of UN Entities. She also managed key analytic reports including the Reports of Secretary-General on Mainstreaming a Gender Perspective into all Policies and Programmes of the UN System, which provide recommendations to the United Nations General Assembly and Member States and the Commission on the Status of Women.
After leaving UN Women in 2019 to return to consulting, Monica has worked with Symmetra to support several multinationals in the private sector with their efforts to analyze and improve their efforts to create inclusive systems , policies and processes particularly with regard to Talent Acquisition and Talent Management where she has deep expertise. She has also assisted the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) with the development of a Gender, Diversity and Inclusion (GDI) performance framework to monitor and propel progress towards the achievement of system wide GDI targets and goals.
