She has broad experience as a Professional Learning and Development Consultant and Executive Coach. Her training repertoire covers a range including Diversity and Inclusion, Unconscious Bias, High Potential Talent Development, Cultural Diversity, Personality Profiling and Workplace Big 5 debriefs, Negotiation and Sales, Successful Business Communication, Conflict Management, Building Client Relationships, Presentation Practice for Senior Executives and Managing Diverse Virtual/Global Teams.
She co-founded and conducted “Assertiveness and Empowerment” workshops for working women in Hong Kong from 1995-1997 and in recent years Mui Hwa has been actively involved in developing Fair Employment Practice workshops for Singapore’s TAFEP (Tripartite Association of Employment Practices) providing skills and information for SMEs and mid-sized MNCs.
She has delivered programmes for organizations including Exxon Mobil, LEGO, Bayer, P&G, Unilever, J&J, Standard Chartered Bank, Credit Suisse, Hewlett Packard, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, GE, Covidien, CNOOC, Hua Wei, Pratt and Whitney.
She is certified in Globesmart, MBTI, Workplace Big 5 and is also familiar with other tools like DISC, Hofstede, Trompenaars, World Navigator and WorldPrism.
Mui Hwa started her work in the advertising industry after completing her tertiary education in 1988. She built her career as a client-facing manager in three international advertising firms, spent 3 years working in London, culminating in a regional role after 12 years. Of that, she spent more than a decade working in Hong Kong and Greater China where she developed a deep understanding of the cultures, languages and the the people.
