Thu-Hong joins the Symmetra team as a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion strategist and Human Resources professional with a background in corporate tech and international non-profits. Her experience is in General HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and DEI strategy. Her career started in a global NGO, focused on leadership development for youth all around the world.

She also worked in People Operations at Google helping make employee programs intuitive for thousands of staff and managing several DEI projects, most notably, designing inclusive hiring practices and learning programs to help the talent acquisition team better engage with underrepresented talent, and leading an Employee Resource Group for Asian and Pacific Islanders. Prior to Symmetra, she founded a boutique DEI consulting firm primarily serving mission-driven organizations. In addition to her professional experience, Thu-Hong is obtaining her Masters in Industrial & Organizational Psychology.

Thu-Hong is passionate about building allyship and coalition, and helping organizations find solutions that are holistic and people-centered. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has not been confined to a single job role but rather integrated in the way she approaches life.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, raised in Charlotte, North Carolina in the US, and now currently residing in Berlin, Germany – Thu-Hong often travels back and forth between the US and Europe for family and loved ones.
